How to Check and Release Quarantined Emails in Microsoft 365

If you're expecting an important email but haven't seen it in your inbox, it may have been flagged and placed in quarantine by Microsoft’s email security system.

Quarantine Notification

You will receive an email notification from no-reply@drury.edu with the subject line:

“Microsoft 365 security: You have messages in quarantine.”

This email will alert you that there are quarantined messages to review.

Steps to Check and Release Quarantined Messages

To check your quarantined messages, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to https://security.microsoft.com
  2. Sign in with your Drury email credentials.
  3. In the left-hand menu, click on “Email & Collaboration” > “Review” > “Quarantine”.
  4. Look for the email in question and release it if needed.

Once released, the email should appear in your inbox shortly.
